Living the Passionate Life is Within Your Grasp

Living your life with passion is about finding the place inside of you that lights up when you even just think about doing a specific thing. It is the love and joy you feel when you see a newborn baby or smell a flower that is in full bloom. Living the passionate life is capturing the energy and excitement that we had as a small child.

Most of us have had such great struggles throughout our lives that we have been left vulnerable. Every event that we experience in a negative way chips away at the very core of our being. Over time we feel less joy and happiness and our lives become disconnected. It is for that reason that we seek out something to make us passionate again. We may spend years searching for the answer of how to recapture that passion and love of living. This can become an endless search until we finally understand that the answer has been inside of us all the time.

Our feelings and emotions tell us exactly what to do in our daily lives. It may have been quite a long time since you truly listened to yourself. Check in with your body, your mind, and your emotions. How do you feel? This may sound like a simple question, but it is actually the most important question that you can ask of yourself to get to that place of passion in your heart.

We are spiritual beings living in a physical world. Observe small children as they dance around and laugh. They are doing what feels good to them. It is only when we begin to stifle that freedom of mind and body that we crush the passion that is inside of them that rejoices when it is released as physical energy. All of us began our lives as passionate beings, full of the deepest sense of who we really were.

Living the passionate life is all about rediscovering who we are and getting back to our childlike state. Everyone can accomplish this feat, but it will take some time and effort to get there. Start with how you feel when you get up in the morning. Make an effort to spend some time when you are first awake to just sit and feel. Instead of jumping into your daily routine look inside of yourself and relax into the feeling of just being still.

You may want to begin with a morning meditation. I have been doing this for a number of years so it has become a routine and a ritual in my life. Start with just sitting quietly someplace where you will not be disturbed. This should be a quiet place in your home where you can focus on your breathing. If you are uncomfortable change the position of your body until you are not even aware of your physical state. Count your breaths as you breathe in and out slowly.

Count each breath as it enters and leaves your body. Picture your day unfolding in just the perfect way for you. Let your thoughts drift in and out as you sit still for several minutes. You will find that this becomes easier with time. I would suggest not using any music during this time until you can sit quietly for about five minutes at a time.

This morning meditation will make you more aware of the world around you. During the day you may find that you will feel pleasure when you think about the stillness that you experienced earlier that morning. As you make your way through your day look for moments of stillness that can bring you back to how you felt during your meditation. Listen to your inner self as you are reacting through your outer self. Can you see the difference between your inner and outer world? The idea is to bring those two worlds together.

Living a life filled with passion means that you are experiencing the world as the spiritual being that you are. The entire planet is in a constant state of change. You cannot remain the person you are today even if you would want to. You are constantly growing and evolving as you learn more about the way the divine is carrying us down the stream. Enjoy your journey as you bring your physical and non-physical together into one joyous being – the person that is you. You create your own life experience and there are no limits to what you are able to accomplish.
