Kisses

by Joy Decker

"A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous."

- Ingrid Bergman

Do you remember your first kiss? I remember when my husband Kevin first kissed me. We were sitting on my couch on our first date talking when all of a sudden he leaned over and kissed me. It was very unexpected, and I wasn't at all sure I wanted to be kissed at that point. But that was then... now Kevin's kisses are welcome anytime!

Here is a list of great opportunities to share a kiss:

- while waiting at a red light
- when riding an escalator
- before we leave the house in the morning
- when we come home at the end of the day
- across the table at dinner
- before going to bed
- in the movies
- before getting in the car
- before getting out of the car
- just because

I remember once we were working hard on household chores when Kevin called to me, "Joy, come here please." I was busy and impatiently ran up the stairs to find out what he wanted. He took me by the shoulders and gave me a long soft slow kiss that took my breath away. Then he said, "We can't have all work and no play". What a great reminder to take time out for the important things in life, like kissing your sweetheart!

Use all sorts of kisses:

- blowing kisses
- hand kisses
- butterfly kisses
- a peck on the check
- French kisses
- quick kisses
- slow kisses
- Hershey’s kisses
- surreptitious kisses
- bold kisses

Build them into your daily activities. Kiss your mate when they least expect it.
Make it a point to kiss at least 3 times a day, every day.

You can be sure that we will!
